Darlene M. Bieber, 76, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s Eternal Care on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born November 8, 1944, in Dundalk, MD, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Leona H. (Louden) Bremer. Darlene was the loving wife of Charles R. Bieber with whom she shared fifty-four years of marriage.
Darlene graduated Colgate Elementary School and from Dundalk High School, Baltimore, MD. She was a veteran and served her country proudly in the United States Navy. She was a member of the Harold H. Bair Post 14 American Legion, Hanover, PA
Darlene was a secretary for three and a half years at Bethlehem Steel, in radio and security for the US Navy for three years, and a housewife for fifty-four years.
Darlene was an avid reader, an avid sewer of doll dresses, etc., as well as quilting many small blankets. She did genealogy research for 52 years. Most importantly, she loved her family and being with them whenever she could.
In addition to her husband Chuck, Darlene is survived by her children, Charles R. “Chip” Bieber, Jr. and wife Jacqueline of York Haven, PA, Angela R. Lese and husband James of Hanover, PA, and Karen T. Hutchison and husband Joel of Lititz, PA; eight grandchildren, Jenna Stanley and husband Justin, Katherine Stover, William Stover, Wesley Stover, Lillian Lese, Thomas Lese, Ryker Hutchison, and Isaac Hutchison; one great grandson, Hudson Stanley; and two sisters, Karen Hagan of Spring Grove, PA, and Barbara Hendley of Dundalk, MD. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shawn Shatto, and two brothers, Roy Bremer, and Charles Bremer.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Darlene will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Pastor Ricky McCarl officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at the funeral home. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail will provide Military Honors.
