Obituary
Patricia S. Yeiser, 86 of Hanover met her eternal rest on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Maurice S. Yeiser, Jr. to whom she was married to for 56 years until his death on March 4, 2007.
She was born July 27, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN a daughter of the late Rev. Herman and Ruth (Hodge) Schmid.
Mrs. Yeiser graduated from Durham North Carolina High School in 1946 and the Presbyterian School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA in 1949 where she was class president. After graduating and prior to raising her family, she worked at the McGee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. While living in Pittsburgh, she was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Glenshaw, PA where she was very active and was honored to sing in the choir, serve on church council and serve on various committees. She also volunteered at St. Margaret’s Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and later her family.
After moving to Hanover in 2006, she was very active at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and was especially active in the Wednesday evening SAW group. She loved sewing, was an excellent seamstress, was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed going to the Guthrie Memorial Library in Hanover.
She is survived by her children, Lynne Fauth and husband David, Aiken, SC, Rev. Dr. Daniel Yeiser and wife Christy, York and Tim Yeiser and wife Risa, Encino, CA; brother, Paul Schmid, York; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman, Rev. David and Joseph Schmid.
A service to celebrate the life of Patricia Yeiser will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 West Chestnut St., Hanover with Rev. Kathryn Schroeder officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Yeiser, David Fauth, Thad Yeiser, John McCullough, John Kolander and Larry Showers.

Patricia S. Yeiser, 86 of Hanover met her eternal rest on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Maurice S. Yeiser, Jr. to whom she was married to for 56 years until his death on March 4, 2007.
