Steven A. Edwards, 62, of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at York Hospital.
Born on Thursday, August 26, 1954 in Hanover, he was a son of Joseph J. Edwards of Hanover and the late Sonja M. Mowery Edwards. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna J. Edwards, who died in 2015; and a daughter, Rachel R. Graybill. A 1972 graduate of Hanover High School, Steven served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed going fishing in his younger days. He also took great pleasure in spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, survivors include a daughter, Jennifer L. Livelsberger and her husband, Stephen; a granddaughter, Vera Lynn Graybill; a brother, Andrew Edwards; four sisters, Laura Stevens, Debra Edwards, Carol Hahn, and Vicki Gouker; his maternal grandmother, Vivian Mowery; six nieces and nephews; and six great nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 9pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Irishtown Fire Hall, 934 Irishtown Road, New Oxford. Burial will take place privately at Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
