Francis Levere “Frenchy” Myers, 82, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Friday, February 26, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born September 7, 1933 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late John R. and Beulah E. (Myers) Myers. He was the loving husband of Violet M. (Heindel) Myers with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.
Frenchy was a carpenter having worked for over 40 years at Young & Stine, Inc. until his retirement in 1995
Frenchy served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Frenchy enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his loving wife, Violet, Frenchy is survived by his children, Saundra K. Trone, Cheryl A. Lucabaugh, Robin F. Myers, Daniel P. Myers, James A. Myers, and Lynn F. Myers, one grandson, Joseph G. Trone, Jr., and his siblings, Harold E. Myers, Sarahann E. Myers, Shirley Knox, and Etta J. Stouck. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Raymond, Lester, Luther, Robert, Granville, Russell, and William Myers.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Frenchy’s life will be held 11 AM, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Allen G. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA with the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard providing full Military Honors. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 – 11 AM, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the funeral home.
