Frances Arlene (Moubray) Haines, 89, of Frederick, formerly of Hanover, was received into the Glory Land on March 15, 2013. She was the wife of the late Daniel M. Haines. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Calvin Moubray and Bessie Mae (Dean) Moubray, sisters; Cleo (Dee) Smiley Bankert, Mary Jordan, Clairise Hill, Lessie (Rose) Barkdoll and brothers; James Moubray, Harold Moubray, Benjamin Moubray and Howard Moubray.
Frances was born in Mount Clinton, VA on March 23, 1923. After her mother's death she was raised by the Specht family in Frederick, MD. She married Daniel on April 27, 1942 with whom she spent the next 62 years until his death in 2002. She worked at the Taneytown Rubber Factory, Moose Tailoring in Frederick, Doubleday Books in Hanover, The Lutheran Social Services in Hanover and retired from WalMart on Eisenhower Drive in Hanover in the fall of 2009.
Frances was one of thirteen children. She is survived by one sister; Alice Favorite of Hanover, and two brothers; Charles Moubray of Virginia and Roy Moubray of Arkansas.
Frances leaves behind a legacy spanning five generations. She is survived by daughter, Susan Higgins and husband Peter of Frederick; Grandchildren, Jennifer Worley Wagaman and husband Troy of Hanover, Chad Worley and wife Karen of New Oxford, Nancy Austin and husband Michael of Frederick, Shannon Higgins of Frederick and Mark Pendleton of Frederick. She has fourteen great grandchildren, Victoria Rill, Brandon Wagaman, Jacob Becker, Robert Higgins, Brianna Worley, Skylar Becker, Troy Wagaman, Jr., Andrew Becker, Mikayla Sidwell, Tyler Austin, Levi Worley, Ryan Claytor, Hannah Austin and Emily Growdan, and two great-great grandchildren, Gabriella McMaster and Conner Rill.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by the interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
