Obituary

Kenneth E. Noel, 82, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Wednesday, March 05, 2014 at the Holy Spirit Hospital.

Born January 26, 1932 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late John W. and Helen (Cromer) Noel. He was the husband of Shirley M. (Grove) Noel with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

Kenneth was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Littlestown, PA and the Hanover Republican Club. He worked as a furniture Maker most of his life, retiring from Hanover Made Furniture.

Kenneth loved spending time with his grandchildren and step grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, watching all sports on TV, and sitting on his porch waving to all passers by on Moul Avenue.

In addition to his wife Shirley, Kenneth is survived by one son; Michael E. Noel and his wife Mary of Winchester, VA, two grandchildren; Colin M. Noel and Allison M. Noel, and one brother; Larry Noel of Gardners, PA. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Noel, John Noel, Robert Noel and Donald Noel.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Kenneth's life will be held 11 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with his pastors, the Rev. Craig Arentz and Rev. Douglas Mummert officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories will be held from 6-8PM, Friday, March 7, 2014 at the funeral home and from 10-11 AM, Saturday at the funeral home.
