Edward R. McClintock, 55, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at home with his loving family by his side after a courageous 10 month battle with Kidney Cancer.
Born October 19, 1959 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of Mary (Wilt) McClintock of Hanover, PA, and the late Charles McClintock. Edward was the loving husband of Tracy Jo (Gastley) McClintock with whom he shared 22 years of marriage.
Edward was a 1977 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, PA and was employed as a supervisor at Tim-Bar Corporation, New Oxford, PA.
Edward was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, the McSherrystown Home Association, the Hanover Republican Club, the New Oxford Social Club and the Hanover Home Association.
Edward was an avid bowler and bowled in many of the Hanover area men's leagues. He enjoyed fishing, being at the beach, watching the Redskins, Notre Dame Football, the Baltimore Orioles, and especially loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife Tracy, Edward is survived by his children, John David McClintock and Taylor Jo McClintock, both of Hanover, PA; five brothers, Charles McClintock, Jr. and his wife Sue of Glenville, PA, George McClintock and his wife Julie of Hanover, PA, Donald McClintock and his wife Sallie of Hanover, PA, Robert McClintock and his wife Carolyn of Little Rock, SC, and Thomas McClintock and his wife April of Littlestown, PA; two sisters, Rose Legore and her husband Robert of Hanover, PA, and Joyce Marth of Selbysville, MD; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; his mother-in-law, Betty Jo Gastley of Hanover, PA; his brother-in-law, Randy A. Gastley and his children, Andrew of Hanover, PA and Katie of Vero Beach, FL; and his sister-in-law, Jackie Byers and her children, Corbin and Haley of Hanover, PA. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John Gastley and his brother-in-law, John Marth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Monsignor James M. Lyons as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-12:00PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
