James Wayne Waltersdorff, 70, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Hanover Hospital, Hanover, PA.
Born June 23, 1945 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Ethel A. (Amspacher) Waltersdorff. James was the loving companion of Jean E. Dell with whom he was together for 40 years.
James was a machine operator with SKF of Hanover, PA for over forty years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
James was a member of the McSherrystown Moose, and a life member of both the Hanover Home Association and the McSherrystown Home Association.
In addition to his companion Jean, James is survived by a nephew, Stacy Pickett. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria E. Pickett.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember James’ life will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the funeral home.
