William E. “Bill” Bealing, Sr., 75, of Hanover, lost his 16 year battle with cancer with his family by his side, Friday, May 1st, 2009 at home. He was the loving husband of JoAnn M. (Saltzgiver) Bealing, his wife of 52 years. Born Feb. 2nd, 1934 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Lloyd E. Sr. and Beatrice (Baumgardner) Bealing.
Bill was a graduate of Eichelberger High School class of 1952. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Hanover AMVETS. He was employed for 21 years with National Can, Hanover, until 1986 and then worked for 13 years with Clearview Car Wash, Hanover, retiring in 2001. Mr. Bealing was also a member of the McSherrystown Home Association.
Additional survivors include three children; William E. Bealing, Jr., Bloomsburg, PA, James E. Bealing, Sr. and his wife Faye, Hanover and Crystal A. Bealing, Hanover, two grandchildren; James E. Bealing, Jr., Hanover and his fiancée Keri Scheller, Littlestown and Nicole L. McCullen and her husband Brian, Spring Grove and three brothers; Philip Bealing, Charles Bealing and Barry Bealing and his wife Nancy all of Hanover.
