Geraldine R. Sanders, 82, of Gettysburg and formerly of Hanover entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Transitions, Gettysburg. She was the loving wife of the late Francis J. Sanders.
She was born April 1, 1931 in Hanover the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Esther (Runk) Feltch.
Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and retired from Weis Market, Hanover where she was the donut maker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Kuhn and husband Samuel, Hanover; Brian Sanders and wife Lora, Hanover; Terry Sanders, St. Petersburg, FL; Susan Allen and husband Ricky, Currituck, NC; Scott Sanders, Hanover and Timothy Sanders and wife Bridgett, Hollister, MA; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter, Angel Sanders.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor Ed Brower officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be, Brian Sanders; Tim Sanders; Sam Kuhn; Ricky Allen; Chris Vandermark and Josh Sanders.
