Donna Jean Deatrick, 73, of Hanover, passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at home with her loving pets by her side.
Born October 23, 1936 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Howard C. and Miriam L. Baile Brown, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Philip G. Deatrick, who died in 2005. She was a 1954 graduate of Eichelberger High School.
Mrs. Deatrick was a former employee of The Bon Ton, Dr. Mark Tome, DDS, and served as a security guard at South Western High School. At the time of her death, she was employed by Wonder’s Personal Care. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Spielman of Hanover; a grandson, Jeremy Spielman and his fiance’, Traci Kuhl, of East Berlin; a great-grandson, Daulton Spielman of East Berlin; two sisters, Brenda Weaver and her husband, Rodney, of New Oxford, and Carole Brown of York; and her loving dog, Brandy, and favorite cat, Ginger.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover, with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The viewing will be 9:30 – 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
