Obituary

Gloria D. "Deanie" (Knaub) Adams, 75, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal kingdom surrounded by her family, Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at home.

Born October 1, 1933, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Jacob) Knaub. Deanie was the loving wife of Kenneth J. Adams, who preceded her in death December 24, 1998.

Deanie worked at the Dutch Country Restaurant for 15 years prior to her illness. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.

Surviving are three children, Rickie Garrett, of Hanover, Tina Reese and husband, Randy, of Dover, PA, and Todd Garrett and wife, Lynne, of Hanover; one stepson, Kenneth Adams, Jr. and wife, Lori, of York; four grandchildren, Tony Reese, Jeffrey Reese, Erica Garrett, and Derrick Garrett; two step grandchildren, Joshua Adams and Jennifer Adams; four great grandchildren; one step great grandchild; two brothers, James Knaub and Donald Knaub, both of Hanover; and one sister, Shirley Gross, of Penndel, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, Deanie was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Strine.

A service to celebrate Deanie's life will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, with The Rev. Jason M. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. A viewing and time to share memories will be held 6 - 8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Serving as casketbearers will be Tony Reese, Jeffrey Reese, Erica Garrett, Derrick Garrett, Cory Reichart, and Nathan Leese.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 25 Breezewood Drive, Hanover, PA 17331
