Laverne H. Bange, age 83, passed away at home on March 9, 2021. He was the loving husband of Betty J. Zeigler; together they shared over 34 years of marriage.
Laverne was born in Hanover on July 21, 1937 and was the son of the late Henry Bange and Evelyn (Baker) Bange. He graduated from Eichelberger High School class of 1955.
He proudly served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He worked as a 1st Class Maintenance worker for SKF in Hanover. He enjoyed wood working and was a Sprint Car enthusiast and was well known for his ability in tuning a sprint car chassis for the different types of tracks.
In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by his daughter Sharon M. Seitz of Virginia and Michael Reindollar of Littlestown; his grandchildren Stephanie, Jessie and Michael Jr. and his great grandson Ryan.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing in celebration of his life on Tuesday from 11:00AM – 12:00PM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown PA. Due to COVID19, services and interment will be held privately by the family.
