Michael David Carroll, 49, of Hanover, PA, went to be with the lord on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Richard P. and Dorothy Davidson Carroll. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia K. Eiserman Carroll, and children, Michael D. Carroll II and his wife Christina of Hanover, PA, Todd L. Cook of Summerdale, PA, Ashlee K.  Adams and her husband Benjamin of York, PA, Kelly A. Carroll of Hanover, PA and Brittany D. Carroll of Hanover, PA.  He was an adored grandfather to Michael Miles, Leah Lanahan, and Emma Adams.  Also surviving are siblings, Scott Merryman and his wife Carol of Arendtsville, PA, Paul Merryman and his wife Mary of Westminster, MD, Melanie Myers and her husband Frank of Hanover, PA, Michelle Hunter and her husband Donald of Gettysburg, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his devoted dog, Harley.

Michael had started working as an electrician for his brother at Merryman Electric, He then became self-employed with Manheim Electric and L-Town Electric.  His most current employment was with the Maryland Department of Corrections as a Major in the Maintenance Dept.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, weekends in Ocean City, MD, and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  But most of all he was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A service to celebrate and remember Michael’s life will be held 11 AM, Monday June 5, 2017 at ,Hanover First Church of God 600 Fairview Drive, Hanover, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. Jerry Shoap officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
