Izzy Glorioso, 11, of Hanover, was welcomed into Heaven by her Uncle Dan on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle, Hanover.
Born January 22, 2010 in York, she was a daughter of Mike A. and Rachael E. (DeGroft) Glorioso of Hanover.
Izzy was a bright light in any room she was in! She loved her family, especially her siblings and cousins. She loved to draw, write, read and swim. She spent most of the Summer days swimming at the Littlestown Pool with her friends. She loved playing Roblox and Minecraft with her siblings and cousins. She was so proud to be the oldest cousin in the family. She loved all of the kids so much! Izzy had a huge heart for animals, especially Service Dogs. Her passion was to become a Service Dog Trainer.
In addition to her parents, Izzy is survived by her siblings, Micah and Masie Glorioso, both of Hanover; maternal grandparents, Dick (Pappy) and Laurie DeGroft of Littlestown; paternal grandparents, Bob and Judy Glorioso of York; two maternal great grandmothers, Nancy Riebling and Ruth Rucker, both of Littlestown; aunts and uncles, Allie Usry and her husband Tripp (soon to be Missionaries in Kenya), Emily DeGroft of Littlestown, Daniel DeGroft and his wife Brittany of Hanover, Katy Glorioso of Savannah, GA; cousins, James Usry, Elijah Diehl, Logan DeGroft, Charlie Usry, Connor DeGroft, Adelaide Usry, Benny Diehl, Adalynn DeGroft, Layla DeGroft, Samuel Usry; her best friend Xzavier Raup and his mom Miss Missy. Izzy is also survived by many loving great aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her great grandparents, Izzy was preceded in death by her uncle, Dan Glorioso.
A service to celebrate the life of Izzy will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2021 at her home church, Emerge Church, 518 Wilson Ave., Hanover, PA with Pastor Herb Reisig and Pastor Bill Mummert (of Gettysburg Baptist Church) officiating. A time to share memories with the family and opportunity to view will be on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Pallbearers will be; Pappy DeGroft, Bob Glorioso, Daniel DeGroft, Missy Raup, Tripp Usry and Dustin Smith.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Izzy’s memory to Susquehanna Service Dogs through Keystone Human Services; 1078 Gravel Hill Rd., Glenville PA 17208.
