Ruth "Ginny" Martin, 61, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2005, at home. She was the wife of Robert L. Martin, to whom Ginny was married for 39 years.
She was born February 9, 1944, in Gaithersburg, Md., the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Cornwall) Moxley. Prior to her extended illness, Ginny was involved in Adams County cub scouts and had been employed at J.H. Schuler Co. and QVC.
In addition to her husband, Ginny is survived by two sons, Sean Martin of Hanover and Daryl Martin of Abbottstown; three grandchildren, Erin, Hunter, and Emma; and four sisters, Connie Sexton of Frederick, Md., Betty Walters of Baldwin Park, Calif., Linda Robbins of Gaithersburg, Md., and Susan Brown of Largo, Fla.
The family requests that friends and relatives come in casual dress to the funeral on Tuesday, November 29, at 1:45 p.m., at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover. The Rev. William H. Garrett will officiate. A viewing will be Tuesday after 12 noon at the Wetzel Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
