Eugene J. Stremmel, 80, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's Eternal care on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 5, 1934 in Millers, MD he was the son of the late John J. and Rosa E. (Wilhelm) Stremmel. He was the loving husband of Donna L. (Vaughan) Stremmel with whom he shared over 29 years of marriage.

Eugene retired in 1999 from P.H. Glatfelter after thirty years of service.

In addition to his loving wife, Donna, he is survived by three sons, Barry E. Stremmel of Hanover, PA, Carl L. Stremmel, Sr. and wife Wanda of Las Vegas, NV, and Duane S. Stremmel and wife Suzanne of Waynesboro, PA; three grandchildren; Carrie Morrison, Carl Stremmel, Jr. and Krystal Gross, one great-grandchild; Hunter Gross, one step granddaughter, Amy Secor and one Step great grandson, Ryan Secor, and three brothers, Alvin L. Stremmel and wife Ruthanna of Spring Grove, PA, Larry M. Stremmel and wife Loretta of Hanover, PA, and John C. Stremmel and wife Mary of Lewisberry, PA. He was preceded in death by his 9 month old baby brother Gary H. Stremmel and daughter-in-law Jacquelyn (Gilbert) Stremmel.

As per Eugene's wishes, following cremation, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
