Mary Lou Garrett, 86, of New Oxford, PA, entered peacefully into God’s eternal care, Monday, March 20, 2017 at The Brethren Home, New Oxford, PA.
Born May 28, 1930 in Silver Grove, KY, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Louise (Hilker) Graden. Mary Lou was the loving wife of the late Bobby G. Garrett, who died January 18, 2002.
Mary Lou was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA.
Mary Lou was a homemaker and artist. She was a member of the Hanover Area Arts Guild.
Mary Lou is survived by her children, Barbara J. Brower of Annapolis, MD and Mary Beth Mazzeo of Lancaster, PA; and one grandson, Garrett Brower.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Mary Lou’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with her nephew, the Rev. Jeff Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
