Ruth Alda Bunty, 82 of Hanover, passed away suddenly Thursday, May 27, 2010 at her home. She was the wife of 57 years to Robert E. Bunty, Hanover.
Born December 17, 1927 in Laurel, DE, she was the daughter of the late Hugh L. and Alda L. (Cromer) May.
Mrs. Bunty enjoyed shopping, babysitting for her nieces and nephews, family Christmas Parties and most especially spending time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband is two brothers: William L. May and his wife Mary Louise, McSherrystown; Donald T. May, Littleton, CO; also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen E. Arigo and Half Brother; Joseph McAvoy.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bunty will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Rev. William Garrett officiating. A time to share memories with the family and have an opportunity to view will be Tuesday evening 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Wednesday 10:00 – 11:00 AM the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
