Kay Marie (Trump) Smith, 63, entered into God’s eternal care on January 17, 2022, at UPMC Hanover with her Loving Husband, Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchild by her side. Kay was born March 13, 1958, in Hanover, PA. Kay was the daughter of the late Marlen R. Trump who died in 1992 and Kathryn M. (Rohrbaugh) Trump. Kay was the loving wife of Jason J. Smith to whom she was married for 45 years. Kay graduated from Susquehannock High School, class of 1976, in Glen Rock, PA. Kay worked various jobs and she enjoyed crocheting, painting rocks, drawing, going to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, going on cruises, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Kay was a member of Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in Hanover serving as Christian Education Director from 2006 to 2012, its church council and Altar Guild. Kay was also a member of the New Oxford Lions Club. In addition to her husband, and Mother, Kay is survived by three Children, Heather M. Dettinburn and husband Eric of New Oxford, Rachel K. Thomassy and husband Robert of Hanover and Betsy J. Groft and companion Scott of New Oxford; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Angela R. Kaltreider of Hanover and three brothers, David M. Trump of York, Wayne H. Trump of Hanover, and Keith D. Trump of Spring Grove. Kay was predeceased by a sister, Julie C. Karlus. A funeral service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held at 11:00AM, January 21, 2022, at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, 1398 Moulstown Road, Hanover, PA with her Pastor, the Rev. David DeLong officiating. Burial will be 3 PM, Friday, January 21, 2022 in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. Friends and relatives will be received Thursday evening January 20, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10:00-11:00AM, Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kay to Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, 1398 Moulstown Road, Hanover, PA 17331, or the Charity of your choice.
