Joan L. Brilhart, 81, of New Oxford, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle, Hanover. She was the loving wife of George Edward Brilhart, Sr. who died August 30, 2012.
She was born August 16, 1939 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Robert Calvin and Elsie Louise (Wagoner) Pfeiffer.
Mrs. Brilhart was a member of Missionary Bible Baptist Church, Hanover, enjoyed making candy and loved country music.
She is survived by her sons, George E. Brilhart, Jr. and wife Diane, Jarrettsville, MD, Brian F. Brilhart, Baltimore, MD and Warren I. Brilhart and wife Diana, Street, MD; sister, Beverly Baldwin, Westminster, MD; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Leo Sheridan, daughter Cindy Sheridan and brothers Albert and Calvin Pfeiffer.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor Mark Rohnke officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Saturday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
