Mary E. (Orendorff) Cox, 71, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born December 14, 1939 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Augustus J. and Helen (Sanders) Orendorff. She was the wife of Gene A. Cox to whom she was married for 24 years.
Mary was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, PA. She then continued her education and graduated from York Business Institute.
She retired from Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Hanover after 14 years of service in administration.
Mary enjoyed hosting picnics and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by three sons, Kevin K. Miller and his wife Melissa of Fairfield, PA, Keith J. Miller of Hanover, PA, Kirk A. Miller and his wife Kimberly of New Oxford, PA, one daughter, Kathy A. McMaster and her husband Patrick of New Oxford, PA, six grandchildren, Kevin Harner of East Berlin, PA, Maggie Miller of Fairfield, PA, Michael Miller of Gettysburg, PA, Chelsea Miller, Brandon Miller both of New Oxford, PA, Alexea McMaster of New Oxford, PA, one great granddaughter, Madison Harner of East Berlin, PA, two sisters, Helen Weaver of Gettysburg, PA and Regina Orndorff of Emmittsburg, MD. She was preceded in death by five brothers, William Orendorff, Steven Orendorff, Joseph Orendorff, Michael Orendorff, Oscar Orendorff, two sisters, Catherine Baadte and Grace Hale.
