Obituary
Born on Saturday, October 20, 1923 in Brunn, Czechoslovakia, she came to the United States in 1965. She was a daughter of the late Johann and Anna Slaby Jaborek; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Renz, who died in 1984, a sister, Annie Gaussmann, and a nephew, Anthony Jury. Marie loved animals, especially cats. She enjoyed being around people and loved to laugh and have a good time.
Survivors include two sisters, Julianna Wright and her husband, Philip, of York Springs and Finny Staub and her husband, Steven, of Glenville; a brother, Hans Jaborek and his wife, Joyce, of Virginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
A funeral will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Panebaker Funeral Home, Inc., 311 Broadway, Hanover with The Rev. Stephen Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
