Kenneth E. Lippy, 82 of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Hanover Hall. He was the loving husband of Jeanette (Smeigh) Lippy also of Hanover.
Born January 13, 1935 in Littlestown, he was a son of the late Irvin J. and Oneida K. (Rineman) Lippy.
Kenneth worked for many years at Hanover Pretzel then went to work for Revonah Pretzel, retiring in 1996. Kenneth enjoyed drag racing and deer hunting; he was a fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his wife, Kenneth is survived by four daughters, Sharon Steich of McSherrystown, Susan McDowell of Lakeland, FL, Brenda Wonder of Hanover, Lori Smith of Port St. Lucie, FL; five siblings, Ruby Caskey of Chambersburg, Janet Trish of Spring Grove, Nancy Yoho of Hanover, Donald Lippy of Hanover, Linda Laughman of Hanover; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends. Kenneth is also survived by his loving dog, Odie.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis J. (Lemon) Lippy; sisters, Betty Lippy, Deloris Trish, Beatrice Scott, Charmaine Meckley, Dottie Bechtel, Treva McMaster, a brother, David Lippy and a granddaughter, Tiffany Wonder.
A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth E. Lippy will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Samuel Garrett officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
