Obituary
Born December 8, 1938 in Shreveport, LA, she was a daughter of Madge Smith Mulkey of Mountain Home, AR and the late Virgil S. Mulkey. She was a graduate of the former York Springs High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the former State Teachers College at Shippensburg in 1960. She was an elementary school teacher at Heidelberg, Spring Grove and Hanover Street Elementary Schools.
Mrs. Bolinger was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she sang in the church choir, was active with Women of Trinity making crafts for the Christmas Bazaar and taught pre-school. She was also a member of the Hanover Community Singers, PSEA and NEA. She took painting classes from the late Bob Ross and taught his painting method for several years. Judith enjoyed horseback riding, was an amateur entomologist and loved all animals.
In addition to her mother and her husband of 53 years, she is survived by three sons, Keith Bolinger of Frackville, Todd Bolinger of Red Lion, and Mark Bolinger of Glenville; one sister, Leah Madge O’Leary of Mountain Home, AR; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, October 24, 2012 Trinity United Church of Christ, 116 York Street, Hanover with The Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638.
