Dale L Hamilton, 79, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland OH. She was the wife of the late Malcolm D. Hamilton with whom she shared 41 years of marriage. Born June 15, 1943 in Cordova, NC, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Warrick and Delia (Mangum) Smith, of NC.
She retired from Caterpillar Inc. in York. She enjoyed travelling and meeting her friends for breakfast. Dale was devoted to her family and many friends.
Dale is survived by daughters, Shelia Hamilton of Stanley VA, Ruth Knaub and her husband Ronald J of York and a son, Clifton Spain. The love and joy of her life her granddaughter Ashley Reilly wife of Joe Reilly of York Springs, great grandchildren Cheyenne and Chance; brother Terry Smith of NC and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Diane Abbott and Beth Simmons, brothers, Mark Warrick, Louis M. Smith, and Gary Smith. Sister-in-law Cindy McNerlin. Nieces, Donna Grissom and Beth Fogal.
A celebration of life will be held on July 2, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore Street Hanover PA.
