Amy May Wise, 93, of Spring Grove, and formerly of Hanover, passed away Tuesday February 10, 2009 at home. She was the wife for 67 years to Melvin L. Wise who died January 26, 2004.
Born March 8, 1915 in Marburg, PA, she was daughter of the late Charles and Austy (Zumbrum) Rohrbaugh.
Mrs. Wise was a member of Trinity UCC, Hanover. She loved gardening, canning and cooking.
Her survivors include two granddaughters, Kim Rau and her husband Scott, Spring Grove and Cynthia Feeser, Hanover; a sister Romaine Wolf, Gettysburg; and three great grandchildren, Ashley Feeser, Nathan Rau and Aaron Rau and four great great grandchildren. Amy was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Mumma; three sisters Ada Benner, Nellie Cramer and Ruth Jensen; two brothers, Charlie and Clark Rohrbaugh.
There will be a graveside memorial service at 10:00am, Monday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore St., Hanover with Rev. Fred Mummert officiating.
The Wetzel Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
