Obituary
Born on September 30, 1920 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Lydia Serf Anthony, and wife of the late August Descheemaker, who died in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Anthony.
A 1937 graduate of Hanover High School, she and her husband were high school sweethearts before marrying on December 25, 1941. She spent her life as a dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, William D. Descheemaeker and his wife, Marilyn of Snohomish, WA, and Michael A. Descheemaeker and his wife, Susan of St. Petersburg, FL; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Following cremation, there will be a memorial service at the graveside at 10 AM Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with The Rev. Patricia A. Leader officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 124 Broadway, Hanover, PA 17331.
