Obituary

Kenneth E. Werner, 74, of Hanover, Pa entered into God's eternal care Friday, August 14, 2009 at his home. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Wherley) Werner, with whom he recently celebrated his 50th Anniversary.

Born February 7, 1935, Jefferson, Pa, He was the son of the late Niles F. Werner and Erma R. (Lawyer) Werner.

Kenneth worked as a truck driver for 43+ years for area firms that included A.D. Frey, and R.H. Crawford, and he retired from Frock Brother's Trucking.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his sons, Michael E. Werner of McSherrystown, Brian E. Werner and wife Bonnie of Hanover, Tony L. Werner and wife Tina of Hanover, and daughter Lisa E. Reinhart and husband Chris of New Oxford; Grandchildren, Alecia A. Werner, Toshia L. (Werner) Viands, Kyle J. Werner, Mary E. Unger, Kurt A. Werner, Cody D.V. Reinhart, and Ashton E.A. Reinhart, and Great-grandchildren, Dylan Colon, Dawson Neiman, Lonnie Neiman, Curtis Tillett, and Ciara Werner, and his brother Norman Werner . Kenneth was preceded in death by his half brother, George Baker, and daughter, Debra A. Werner.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Kenneth's life will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Jason Myers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

Serving as casketbearers will be Michael E. Werner, Brian E. Werner, Tony L. Werner, Kyle J. Werner, Kurt A. Werner, and Michael G. Shenberger.
