Dianne E. Furman, 67, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Sunday, May 21, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side.
Born March 26, 1950, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Elizabeth P. (Phelps) Miller. Dianne was the loving wife of Edward A. Furman with whom she shared forty-one years of marriage.
Dianne was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Hanover, PA, and a former member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Baltimore, MD.
Dianne was a graduate of Parkville Senior HS, Parkville, MD. She was a homemaker, a cheerleading coach at SWSD, worked with the LIU Migrant Child Development Program and at Johns Hopkins at the Social Security Building.
In addition to her loving husband, Edward, Dianne is survived by her daughter, Dana E. Furman of Hanover, PA; two grandchildren, Wyatt Laughman and Ayden Laughman.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Dianne will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA with Father Fred Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, May 26th, 2017 at the funeral home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Wayne Fox, Michael Harget, Doug Fox, Robert Furman, Wyatt Laughman, and Bill Betch. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Ayden Laughman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dianne’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society – York/Adams, Attn: Memorial, 924 N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403, the Apraxia of Speech Association of North America, 416 Lincoln Avenue, 2nd Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15209, or to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
