Obituary
Born on July 5, 1951 in Mound Bayou, MS, he was a son of the late Clarence Hooper and Ouida Brown. He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Kinta Small; a step-grandson, Ryan Small; a step-son-in-law, Erik Huggins; and a brother, Clarence Hooper. William was a hard worker and worked multiple jobs to provide for his family. He was employed by Crete Carriers in Mechanicsburg and Giant Food Stores for nearly 20 years. He was a member of the Hanover Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #227. He was a loving and caring Godly man who dedicated his life to his family. He enjoyed playing pool, going to the casino and camping in the Pocono Mountains.
Survivors include his beloved lady, Deborah Ann Small; a daughter, Sarah Bixby (fiancé, Lynwood Glascoe) Brown; a grandson, Xavier William Johnson; step-children, Laryssa Jean (Demetrius) Davis, Tosha Lynn Small and Tonya Ann Small; step-grandchildren, Lacresha Smallwood, Savonn Small, Marquise and Terrance Stewart, Di’Asia and Dereck Sease, Trent, Keyon and Teyana Freeland; Kwame Jenkins, Trey Freeland, Brandon, Breyonna, Brittney, Kintaiya and Owen Small, and Kinta Small, Jr.; numerous step-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Clyde, Eddie, Choice, Clifton, Claudia, Myron, Barbara, Howard and Eric Hooper, Margerie Lowry, Glen Hooper, Wanda McKenzie, Barry and Darry Hooper, Emma Harrison, Sam Brown.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway, Hanover. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
