Thomas William Kearns, 51, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at home. He was the loving husband of Lura E. (McCracken) Kearns, Hanover. Together they shared 26 years of marriage.
He was born June 30, 1964 in Pittsburgh, the son of Sophie (Gocinski) Kearns, Pittsburgh and the late William Thomas Kearns.
Thomas graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s Degree in mechanical engineering and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore. He was an attorney with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Washington, DC. Thomas was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Baltimore Ravens fan.
In addition to his wife and mother, Thomas is survived by his sister, Janis Kearns, Pittsburgh.
