Obituary

Stephen Francis Bunda, Sr., 84, of Salisbury, MD, entered God’s eternal care, Sunday, February 6, 2022, at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, with his loving family by his side.  

Born October 4, 1937, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Stephen J. and Mary (Pavelko) Bunda.  Stephen was the loving husband of the late Jeanne I. (Augustyniak) Bunda who died in 2005.  

Stephen was an exports manager with Poole and Kent Corp. for thirty-nine years until his retirement. 

Stephen was a veteran, serving his country proudly in the United States Army.  He was a member of the Salisbury, MD, American Legion.

Stephen enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows, camping, computers, and he was also a model railroader. 

Stephen is survived by his children, Lisa M. Brunk of Taneytown, MD, and Stephen F. Bunda, Jr. of Salisbury, MD; and three grandchildren, James S. Golt, Stephanie A. Bunda, and Andrew W. Bunda.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph B. Bunda.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Stephen will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s name to the charity of your choice.
