Obituary

Romaine C. Dutterer, 95, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Friday, September 26, 2014 at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center.

Born May 1, 1919 in Lineboro, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Sr. and Lilly (Wentz) Braun. Romaine was the loving wife of the late Ivan C. Dutterer. 

Romaine was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA. 

Romaine was a 1937 graduate of Eichelberger High School. She helped found the Conewago Campers, was a Girl Scout leader at Grace United Church of Christ, a member of the Homemakers of York City and was also a Lioness with the Hanover Lioness Club. 

Romaine is survived by her children, Marlan I. Dutterer and his wife Judy of Hanover, PA, Fay H. Kempton and her husband Bruce of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Dean G. Dutterer and his wife Linda of Houston, TX; grandchildren, John and James Dutterer, Clayton Heim, Christina Jones, Rachael Heim, Amy Morris and Jason Dutterer; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Ruth Myers of New Oxford, PA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde Braun, George Braun, Jr., and Roy Braun; and a sister, Evelyn Moul.

A graveside service to celebrate and remember Romaine will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard officiating.
