Mildred Mary Bagienski, 93, of Hanover, PA, died, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home.
Born July 18, 1922 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Daniel H. "Pete" and Cora E. (Miller) Gobrecht. Mildred was the loving wife of the late Benjamin P. Bagienski who died March 5, 1995.
Mildred was a 1939 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA.
Mildred was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA where she was active on the church consistory for 20 years, serving as a church elder and also as Chairman of the Trustees.
Mrs. Bagienski worked for the former Eisenhart Wallcoverings for 35 years and later was a sales clerk for Hanover Fabric before retiring.
Mildred enjoyed, making crafts, needlework, and wallpapering.
Mildred is survived by one granddaughter, Lori M. Suders, of Fayetteville, PA, two great granddaughters, Christina (Suders) Lindsey of Waynesboro, PA and Jennifer Suders of Fayetteville, PA, two great great grandchildren, Sydney Lindsey and Caden LaValliere . She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pola May Shindledecker, who died August 16, 1994 and two sisters, Julia P. Palmer and Miriam Lear.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 725, Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA, with her Pastor the Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mildred may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, 100 Fourth Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
