June Ester Black, age 78, of Manchester, died Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Westminster. Born July 20, 1936 in New Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of late James E. Brown, Mary Katherine Costello Brown and her step-father the late Gilbert Utz. She was the former wife of the late David E. Black, Sr.
She held various jobs throughout the years and had worked for Friendly Farm as a secretary and bookkeeper. She was a 1954 graduate of New Oxford High School, New oxford, PA. She was a life member of the Manchester Ladies Auxiliary and a past president in 1989 of the LAMSFA.
Surviving are her sons David E. Black, Jr. of Glen Allen, VA, Henry George Black of Manchester, and Douglas Mark Black of Chicago, IL; and her brother John E. Brown of Mossy Head, FL.
She was predeceased by her twin sons and her siblings Joan Yeager, Joe Brown, and Jim Brown.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25,2015 at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, MD 21102 with the Rev. Christopher Litton officiating.
