George H. Brower, 78, of Glenville, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at his home.
Born April 25, 1932 in Port Washington, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Edith (Brant) Brower. George was the loving husband of Phyllis E. (Skipper) Brower to whom he married on November 19, 1955.
George worked for many years for Brower Moving and Transportation. Upon his retirement he worked part time as a limousine driver. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict.
George was known as Mr. Fix-it to his friends and neighbors. He especially loved to refinish furniture.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by two daughters, Darlene Mangini and Sherry L. Kolar both of Hanover, PA, one son, Steven Brower of Anchorage, Alaska, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and one brother, Wesley Brower of Port Washington, NY. He was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Brower and one sister, Frances Sarro.
Following cremation a service to celebrate and remember George's life will be held at a time and date to be announced later.
