Felix E. "Dick" Breighner, 92, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Friday, October 3, 2014 at the Hanover Hospital.
Born February 1, 1922 in New Oxford, PA, he was the son of the late Carl and Bernadette (Feeser) Breighner. Dick was the loving husband of Rosalie (Klunk) Breighner with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
Dick was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, and a former member of the Hanover Elks. He was a veteran of the United States Merchant Marines having served his country proudly during World War II.
Mr. Breighner retired from Alloy Rods with 17 years of service as an inspector. He also grew and sold Christmas Trees for many years. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing with his wife, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by four children: Anthony Breighner of Hanover, PA, Michael Breighner of New Oxford, PA, Scott Breighner of Hanover, PA, Mary Ann Smith of York, PA, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one brother: Robert Gerald Breighner of Littlestown, PA, and one sister: Patricia Millar of New Oxford, PA. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Wednesday October 8, 2014 at St, Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Father Stephen Kelley as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA, with full Military Honors by the Hanover Allied Veterans Burial Detail.
