David P. Kehr, age 63, of McSherrystown, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg.
Dave was born in Hanover on August 21, 1958. He graduated from New Oxford High School class of 1977 and worked for SKF Manufacturing in Hanover for over 40 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with family.
Dave is survived by his father Richard E. Kehr Sr. and his wife Julie of Hanover, his mother Judy E. (Epley) Kehr Alwine of Hanover, his brother Richard E. Kehr Jr. and his wife Holly of Hanover, his sisters Cheri Wolfe and her fiance’ Jeffrey Wolf of Hanover and Kathy Eltz and her husband Shawn of Glenville; his step-brothers Jay Alwine and his wife Lynn, Jamie Alwine and his wife Robin; his step-sisters Joanne Wiegand and husband Jim, Nancy Gass and her husband Jay, Deb Ford, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-father Larry Alwine in 2002.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing in celebration of his life on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 501 Ridge Ave., McSherrystown. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory may be made at St. Jude Research Hospital for Children, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis TN 38105.
