Calvin H. Leese, 93, of Hanover, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Homewood at Plum Creek.
Born on Sunday, May 4, 1924 in Silver Run, MD, he was a son of the late Horatio D. and Nedah Unger Leese. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Pearl E. Feeser Leese, who died on March 2, 2015; five brothers, and four sisters.
Calvin was a former longtime employee at Diller Wierman, Inc. of Hanover, and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Hanover Elks BPOE Lodge # 763. Gifted with his hands, he took great pleasure in metalworking, making toys, candle holders and many other household items in the metal shop in his basement. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to family gatherings.
Survivors include his two daughters, Barbara A. Smith and her husband, William, of Milton, DE and Cheryl F. Krout and her husband, Eugene, of Honey Brook; five grandchildren, David Smith of Glen Rock, James Smith of Littlestown, Joel Smith of Hanover, Matthew Krout of Chalfont and Crystal Kutteh of Downington; and seven great-grandchildren, Samantha, Dylan and Ryan Smith of Glen Rock, Yaeger Smith of Abbottstown, Amanda Krout of Chalfont and Joseph and Elizabeth Kutteh of Downington.
