Brenda I. (Flory) Burk, 64 of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the York Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Karl David Burk who passed away October 25, 2005.
Born August 18, 1950 in York, she was a daughter of Grace D. (Geesey) Flory of Red Lion and the late Raymond C. Flory.
Brenda was a graduate of Dallastown High School class of 1969, former employee of Sonnewald Natural Foods, magazine merchandiser and a resident of Hanover for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and learning about healthy eating and natural remedies; Brenda was a strong believer in acupuncture, yoga, meditation, massage and other natural healing remedies.
In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by a daughter; Angela (Burk) Bruckart and her husband Michael of Harrisburg; grandsons Gabriel and Ethan Bruckart of Harrisburg; brother, David Flory and wife Judy Cohen, and three sisters, Lois Witmer, husband Thomas and family of Knoxville, TN, Lynne Garrison, husband William and family of Red Lion, Carol Craven and son, of Dallastown.
A service to celebrate the life of Brenda will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Faye Snyder officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
