Betty L. (Clapper) Deatrick, 86, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover. She was the wife of the late George S. Deatrick.
Born Monday, June 4, 1934 in Adams County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mariah Clapper.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Betty worked at Black and Decker in Hampstead for over 35 years.
Betty is survived by two children, a son, Harry E. Deatrick and his wife Karen of New Oxford; a daughter, Donna Kraft of Hanover; four grandchildren, Beau Deatrick of Biglerville, Bailey Deatrick of New Oxford, Billy Kraft of Hanover, Jesse Kraft of Hanover; five great grandchildren; sibling, Queen Wileman of New Oxford.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 5 brothers.
A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA. Burial will be private in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
