Obituary
Born on May 26, 1955, in Hanover, he was the son of Louise Klunk Brady of McSherrystown and the late Raymond L. Brady. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Alan Brady.
A 1973 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, he was a member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a former employee of Emeco in Hanover as a mechanical draftsman and quality control inspector for many years. He was employed for the past 16 years by Utz Quality Foods as a shift manager and worked part time at Hanover Home and Garden. He enjoyed coaching gymnastics at the Hanover Area YMCA and playing tavern league softball. Skillful with his hands and a jack of all trades, he was a crafty person who enjoyed model airplanes and woodworking.
In addition to his wife of nearly 34 years and his mother, he is survived by one son, Jason M. Brady and his wife, Monica, of McSherrystown; two daughters, Kara E. Jones and her husband, Joshua, and Emily R. Brady and her fiancé, Keith Brodbeck; four grandchildren; a sister, Lois Brady Zinn and her husband, John and a brother, David Brady and his wife, Julie, all of Hanover and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, September 29, 2012, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 129 Charles Street, Hanover, with The Rev. Kirk Griffin officiating. In the spirit of honoring Tony’s life, the family asks that those attending wear his favorite colors, Black and Gold, signifying his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
