Obituary
Born on Monday, April 24, 1933 in Maui, Hawaii, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Elena Orpillia Ordonez and wife of 66 years to the late Lauren N. Douglass, Jr, who died in 2020. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. A 1950 graduate of Farrington High School in Oahu, she served her country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. She spent her career in floral design, having been employed by Bowie Florist and Crofton Florist in Maryland. Adele was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Red Hat Society, the local Hawaiian and Ukulele groups, and served as President of her bowling league for five years. Gifted with her hands, she enjoyed making floral arrangements from the plants and flowers from her backyard and had a love for baking anything from scratch.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Fuller of Honolulu, HI; a son, Keith Douglass and his wife, Dorothy Amato, of Glenville; three grandsons, Skylar and Holland Fuller and Adrian Douglass; a great-grandson, Skylen and a great-granddaughter, Kyla.
The funeral will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Panebaker Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Inc., 311 Broadway in Hanover with Pastor Linda Titzell officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery with military graveside rites being rendered by Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the service.
